NowI rejoicein my sufferingsfor your sake,and in my fleshI do my shareon behalfof His body,whichis the church,in fillingup whatis lackingin Christ'safflictions.
And not onlythis, but we alsoexultin our tribulations,knowingthat tribulationbrings aboutperseverance;
Thereforedo not be ashamedof the testimonyof our Lordorof me His prisoner,but join with [me] in sufferingfor the gospelaccordingto the powerof God,
that I may knowHim and the powerof His resurrectionand the fellowshipof His sufferings,being conformedto His death;
Greatis my confidencein you; greatis my boastingon your behalf.I am filledwith comfort;I am overflowingwith joyin allour affliction.
ThereforeI askyou not to lose heartat my tribulationson your behalf,for they are your glory.
Considerit alljoy,my brethren,whenyou encountervarioustrials,
He is alsoheadof the body,the church;and He is the beginning,the firstbornfrom the dead,sothat He Himselfwill cometo have first placein everything.
Sothey went on their wayfrom the presenceof the Council,rejoicingthat they had been considered worthyto suffershamefor [His] name.
For thisreasonI, Paul,the prisonerof ChristJesusfor the sakeof you Gentiles--
whichis His body,the fullnessof Him who fillsallin all.
and ifchildren,heirsalso,heirsof Godand fellow heirswith Christ,if indeedwe sufferwith [Him] sothat we may alsobe glorifiedwith [Him].
Nowyou are Christ'sbody,and individuallymembersof it.
as sorrowfulyetalwaysrejoicing,as pooryetmakingmanyrich,as havingnothingyetpossessingall things.
I will most gladlyspendand be expendedfor your souls.IfI loveyou more,am I to be lovedless?
