Thusthe LordGODshowedme, and behold,the LordGODwas callingto contend[with them] by fire,and it consumedthe greatdeepand began to consumethe farmland.
"I havenowrath.Should someonegiveMe briars[and] thornsin battle,[Then] I would stepon them, I would burnthem completely.
O houseof David,thussaysthe LORD:"Administerjusticeevery morning;And deliverthe [person] who has been robbedfrom the powerof [his] oppressor,That My wrathmay not goforthlike fireAnd burnwith noneto extinguish[it], Becauseof the evilof their deeds.
"Circumciseyourselves to the LORDAnd removethe foreskinsof your heart,Menof Judahand inhabitantsof Jerusalem,OrelseMy wrathwill goforthlike fireAnd burnwith noneto quenchit, Becauseof the evilof your deeds."
and sayto the landof Israel,'Thussaysthe LORD,"Behold,I am againstyou; and I will drawMy swordout of its sheathand cutofffrom you the righteousand the wicked.
To You, O LORD,I cry;For firehas devouredthe pasturesof the wildernessAnd the flamehas burnedup allthe treesof the field.
"I will displaywondersin the skyand on the earth,Blood,fireand columnsof smoke.
And firecameout from the presenceof the LORDand consumedthem, and they diedbeforethe LORD.
"So I will sendfireupon the houseof HazaelAnd it will consumethe citadelsof Ben-hadad.
"So I will sendfireupon the wallof GazaAnd it will consumeher citadels.
"So I will sendfireupon JudahAnd it will consumethe citadelsof Jerusalem."
"I overthrewyou, as GodoverthrewSodomand Gomorrah,And you were like a firebrandsnatchedfrom a blaze;Yet you have not returnedto Me," declaresthe LORD.
"Seekthe LORDthat you may live,OrHe will breakforthlike a fire,O houseof Joseph,And it will consumewith noneto quench[it] for Bethel,
Thusthe LordGODshowedme, and behold,He was forminga locust-swarmwhen the springcropbeganto sprout.And behold,the springcrop[was] afterthe king'smowing.
ThusHe showedme, and behold,the Lordwas standingby a verticalwallwith a plumblinein His hand.
The mountainswill meltunderHim And the valleyswill be split,Like waxbeforethe fire,Like waterpoureddowna steepplace.
Whocan standbeforeHis indignation?Whocan endurethe burningof His anger?His wrathis pouredout like fireAnd the rocksare brokenup by Him.
Firealso cameforthfrom the LORDand consumedthe two hundredand fiftymenwho were offeringthe incense.
For a fireis kindledin My anger,And burnsto the lowestpartof Sheol,And consumesthe earthwith its yield,And setson firethe foundationsof the mountains.
And of the angelsHe says,"WHO MAKESHIS ANGELSWINDS,AND HIS MINISTERSA FLAMEOF FIRE."
Afterthese thingsI looked,and behold,a door[standing] openin heaven,and the firstvoicewhichI had heard,like[the sound] of a trumpetspeakingwith me, said,"Comeup here,and I will showyou whatmusttake placeafterthese things."
