"Whydid you fleesecretlyand deceiveme, and did not tellme so that I might have sentyou awaywith joyand with songs,with timbreland with lyre;
Then Davidspoketo the chiefsof the Levitesto appointtheir relativesthe singers,with instrumentsof music,harps,lyres,loud-soundingcymbals,to raisesoundsof joy.
and 4,000[were] gatekeepers,and 4,000[were] praisingthe LORDwith the instrumentswhichDavid madefor givingpraise.
The Levitesstoodwith the [musical] instrumentsof David,and the priestswith the trumpets.
Also,I collectedfor myself silverand goldand the treasureof kingsand provinces.I providedfor myself male and female singersand the pleasuresof men--manyconcubines.
Their banquetsare [accompanied] by lyreand harp,by tambourineand flute,and by wine;But they do not payattentionto the deedsof the LORD,Nordo they considerthe workof His hands.
"So I will silencethe soundof your songs,and the soundof your harpswill be heardnomore.
"Takeawayfrom Me the noiseof your songs;I will not even listento the soundof your harps.
"The songsof the palacewill turnto wailingin that day,"declaresthe LordGOD."Many[will be] the corpses;in everyplacethey will castthem forth in silence."
For the timealready pastis sufficient[for] [you] to have carriedout the desireof the Gentiles,having pursued a courseof sensuality,lusts,drunkenness,carousing,drinking partiesand abominableidolatries.
"And the soundof harpistsand musiciansand flute-playersand trumpeterswill not be heardin you anylonger;and nocraftsmanof anycraftwill be foundin you any longer;and the soundof a millwill not be heardin you any longer;
