"ThisMoseswhomthey disowned,saying,'WHOMADEYOU A RULERAND A JUDGE?'is the one whomGodsent[to be] botha rulerand a delivererwith the helpof the angelwho appearedto him in the thorn bush.
"But his citizenshatedhim and senta delegationafterhim, saying,'We do not wantthis manto reignoverus.'
But Godis the Judge;He putsdownoneand exaltsanother.
But when we criedout to the LORD,He heardour voiceand sentan angeland broughtus out from Egypt;now behold,we are at Kadesh,a townon the edgeof your territory.
The angelof God,who had been goingbeforethe campof Israel,movedand wentbehindthem; and the pillarof cloudmovedfrom beforethem and stoodbehindthem.
And they sangthe songof Moses,the bond-servantof God,and the songof the Lamb,saying,"Greatand marvelousare Your works,O LordGod,the Almighty;Righteousand true are Your ways,Kingof the nations!
For ifthe wordspokenthroughangelsprovedunalterable,and everytransgressionand disobediencereceiveda justpenalty,
He is the imageof the invisibleGod,the firstbornof allcreation.
"You men who are stiff-neckedand uncircumcisedin heartand earsare alwaysresistingthe HolySpirit;you are doing justas your fathersdid.
"After fortyyearshad passed,AN ANGELAPPEAREDTO HIM IN THE WILDERNESSOF MOUNTSinai,IN THE FLAMEOF A BURNINGTHORN BUSH.
"He is the one whom Godexaltedto His right handas a Princeand a Savior,to grantrepentanceto Israel,and forgivenessof sins.
"Mosessaid,THE LORDGODWILL RAISEUP FOR YOU A PROPHETLIKEME FROM YOUR BRETHREN;TO HIM YOU SHALL GIVE HEEDto everythingHe saysto you.
"Thereforelet allthe houseof Israelknowfor certainthat Godhas madeHim bothLordand Christ--thisJesuswhomyou crucified."
Sothey criedout, "Awaywith [Him], awaywith [Him], crucifyHim!" Pilatesaidto them, "Shall I crucifyyour King?"The chief priestsanswered,"We havenokingbut Caesar."
Sothey criedout again,saying,"Not this Man,but Barabbas."NowBarabbaswas a robber.
In alltheir afflictionHe was afflicted,And the angelof His presencesavedthem; In His loveand in His mercyHe redeemedthem, And He liftedthem and carriedthem allthe daysof old.
You ledYour peoplelike a flockBy the handof Mosesand Aaron.
"WhenJacobwentinto Egyptand your fatherscriedout to the LORD,then the LORDsentMosesand Aaronwho broughtyour fathersout of Egyptand settledthem in thisplace.
But certain worthlessmensaid,"Howcan thisonedeliverus?" And they despisedhim and did not bringhim any present.But he keptsilent.
"I will sendan angelbeforeyou and I will driveout the Canaanite,the Amorite,the Hittite,the Perizzite,the Hiviteand the Jebusite.
"But gonow,leadthe peoplewhereI toldyou. Behold,My angelshall gobeforeyou; nevertheless in the daywhen I punish,I will punishthem for their sin."
At the morningwatch,the LORDlookeddownon the armyof the Egyptiansthrough the pillarof fireand cloudand broughtthe armyof the Egyptiansinto confusion.
But he said,"Whomadeyou a princeor a judgeoverus? Are you intendingto killme as you killedthe Egyptian?"Then Moseswas afraidand said,"Surelythe matterhas become known."
"But regardingthe factthat the deadrise again,have you not readin the bookof Moses,in the [passage] about[the burning] bush,howGodspoke to him, saying,I AM THE GODOF ABRAHAM,AND THE GODOF ISAAC,and the Godof Jacob'?
