"While it remained[unsold], did it not remainyour own? And after it was sold,was it not underyour control?Whyis it that you have conceivedthisdeedin your heart?You have not liedto menbut to God."
But Petersaid,"Ananias,whyhas Satanfilledyour heartto lieto the HolySpiritand to keep back[some] of the priceof the land?
"Moreover,in my delightin the houseof my God,the treasureI haveof goldand silver,I giveto the houseof my God,overand aboveallthat I have already providedfor the holytemple,
So,he who rejects[this] is not rejectingmanbut the Godwho givesHis HolySpiritto you.
ThenPeter[said] to her, "Whyis it that you have agreed togetherto putthe Spiritof the Lordto the test?Behold,the feetof thosewho have buriedyour husbandare at the door,and they will carryyou out [as well]."

Thussaysthe LordGOD,"It will comeabout on that day,that thoughtswill comeinto your mindand you will devisean evilplan,
Noonesuesrighteouslyand noonepleadshonestly.They trustin confusionand speaklies;They conceivemischiefand bringforthiniquity.
Even before thereis a wordon my tongue,Behold,O LORD,You knowit all.
Behold,he travailswith wickedness,And he conceivesmischiefand bringsforthfalsehood.
"Since I know,O my God,that You trythe heartand delightin uprightness,I, in the integrityof my heart,have willinglyofferedallthese[things]; so nowwith joyI have seenYour people,who are presenthere,make[their] offeringswillinglyto You.
Then the peoplerejoicedbecausethey had offeredso willingly,for they madetheir offeringto the LORDwith a wholeheart,and KingDavidalsorejoicedgreatly.
of goldfor the [things of] goldand of silverfor the [things of] silver,that is, for allthe workdoneby the craftsmen.Whothen is willingto consecratehimself this dayto the LORD?"
The LORDsaidto Samuel,"Listento the voiceof the peoplein regard to allthat they sayto you, for they have not rejectedyou, but they have rejectedMe from beingkingoverthem.
The Israelites,allthe menand women,whoseheartmovedthem to bring[material] for allthe work,whichthe LORDhad commandedthroughMosesto be done,broughta freewillofferingto the LORD.
Mosessaid,"[This will happen] when the LORDgivesyou meatto eatin the evening,and breadto the fullin the morning;for the LORDhearsyour grumblingswhichyou grumbleagainstHim. And whatare we? Your grumblingsare not againstus but againstthe LORD."
Thenwhen lusthas conceived,it gives birthto sin;and when sinis accomplished,it brings forthdeath.
but withoutyour consentI did not wantto doanything,sothat your goodnesswould not be, in effect,by compulsionbut of your own free will.
But foodwill not commendus to God;we are neitherthe worseifwe do not eat,northe betterifwe do eat.
"They conceivemischiefand bringforthiniquity,And their mindpreparesdeception."
"Thereforeyou and allyour companyare gatheredtogether againstthe LORD;but as for Aaron,whois he that you grumbleagainsthim?"
It is betterthat you should not vowthanthat you should vowand not pay.
