Nowon oneof [those] daysJesus and His disciplesgotinto a boat,and He saidto them, "Let us go overto the other sideof the lake."Sothey launchedout.
Following afterPauland us, she kept cryingout, saying,"Thesemenare bond-servantsof the Most HighGod,whoare proclaimingto you the wayof salvation."
Nowwhen they had traveled throughAmphipolisand Apollonia,they cameto Thessalonica,wherethere was a synagogueof the Jews.
And manyof thosewho practicedmagicbroughttheir bookstogetherand [began] burningthem in the sightof everyone;and they countedup the priceof them and foundit fiftythousandpieces of silver.
The citywas filledwith the confusion,and they rushedwith one accordinto the theater,dragging alongGaiusand Aristarchus,Paul'straveling companionsfrom Macedonia.
"Parthiansand Medesand Elamites,and residentsof Mesopotamia,Judeaand Cappadocia,Pontusand Asia,
Whenour daysthere were ended,we leftand startedon our journey,while they all,with wivesand children,escortedus until[we were] out of the city.After kneelingdownon the beachand praying,we said farewellto one another.
They also honoredus with manymarks of respect;and when we were setting sail,they supplied[us] with allwe needed.
After we putin at Syracuse,we stayedthere for threedays.
Whenwe enteredRome,Paulwas allowedto stayby himself,with the soldierwho was guardinghim.
The nativesshowedus extraordinarykindness;for becauseof the rainthat had setin and becauseof the cold,they kindleda fireand receivedus all.
Aristarchus,my fellow prisoner,sends you his greetings;and [also] Barnabas'scousinMark(aboutwhomyou receivedinstructions;ifhe comesto you, welcomehim);
