Thisbecameknownto all,bothJewsand Greeks,who livedin Ephesus;and fearfellupon them alland the nameof the LordJesuswas being magnified.
sothat the nameof our LordJesuswill be glorifiedin you, and you in Him, accordingto the graceof our Godand [the] LordJesusChrist.
Finally,brethren,prayfor us that the wordof the Lordwill spread rapidlyand be glorified,justas [it did] alsowith you;
accordingto my earnest expectationand hope,that I will not be put to shamein anything,but [that] with allboldness,Christwill evennow,as always,be exaltedin my body,whetherby lifeorby death.
Thenthe proconsulbelievedwhen he sawwhat had happened,being amazedat the teachingof the Lord.
And greatfearcameoverthe wholechurch,and overallwho heardof these things.
And as he heardthesewords,Ananiasfell downand breathed his last;and greatfearcameoverallwho heardof it.
They cameto Ephesus,and he leftthem there.Nowhe himselfenteredthe synagogueand reasonedwith the Jews.
But noneof the restdaredto associatewith them; however,the peopleheld them in high esteem.
Everyonekept feelinga sense of awe;and manywondersand signswere taking placethroughthe apostles.
Feargrippedthem all,and they [began] glorifyingGod,saying,"A greatprophethas arisenamongus!" and, "Godhas visitedHis people!"
Fearcameon allthoseliving aroundthem; and allthesematterswere being talked aboutin allthe hill countryof Judea.
Then allmenwill fear,And they will declarethe workof God,And will considerwhatHe has done.
So Davidwas afraidof the LORDthat day;and he said,"Howcan the arkof the LORDcometo me?"
The menof Beth-shemeshsaid,"Whois ableto standbeforethe LORD,thisholyGod?And to whomshall He goup from us?"
Then Mosessaidto Aaron,"It is whatthe LORDspoke,saying,By those who comenearMe I will be treatedas holy,And beforeallthe peopleI will be honored.'"So Aaron,therefore, keptsilent.
but taking leaveof them and saying,"I will returnto you againif Godwills,"he set sailfrom Ephesus.
It happenedthat whileApolloswas at Corinth,Paulpassed throughthe uppercountryand cameto Ephesus,and foundsomedisciples.
And the man,in whomwas the evilspirit,leapedon them and subduedallof them and overpoweredthem, sothat they fledout of that housenakedand wounded.
Manyalsoof thosewho had believedkept coming,confessingand disclosingtheir practices.
