And behold,an angelof the Lordsuddenly appearedand a lightshonein the cell;and he struckPeter'ssideand wokehim up, saying,"Getup quickly."And his chainsfell offhis hands.
"For You are my lamp,O LORD;And the LORDilluminesmy darkness.
He laydownand sleptundera junipertree;and behold,therewas an angeltouchinghim, and he saidto him, "Arise,eat."
The angelof the LORDcameagaina secondtimeand touchedhim and said,"Arise,eat,becausethe journeyis toogreatfor you."
He broughtthem out of darknessand the shadowof deathAnd broketheir bandsapart.
OLORD,surelyI am Your servant,I am Your servant,the sonof Your handmaid,You have loosedmy bonds.
Who executesjusticefor the oppressed;Who givesfoodto the hungry.The LORDsetsthe prisonersfree.
The angelof the LORDencampsaroundthose who fearHim, And rescuesthem.
Godmakesa homefor the lonely;He leadsout the prisonersinto prosperity,Onlythe rebelliousdwellin a parchedland.
"Then thisshall be the signfor you: you will eatthis yearwhatgrowsof itself, in the secondyearwhatspringsfrom the same, and in the thirdyearsow,reap,plantvineyardsand eattheir fruit.
"Arise,shine;for your lighthas come,And the gloryof the LORDhas risenupon you.
The wordwhichcameto Jeremiahfrom the LORDafterNebuzaradancaptainof the bodyguardhad releasedhim from Ramah,when he had takenhim boundin chainsamongallthe exilesof Jerusalemand Judahwho were being exiledto Babylon.
and behold,the gloryof the Godof Israelwas comingfrom the wayof the east.And His voicewas like the soundof manywaters;and the earthshonewith His glory.
Nebuchadnezzarrespondedand said,"Blessedbe the Godof Shadrach,Meshachand Abed-nego,whohas sentHis angeland deliveredHis servantswhoputtheir trustin Him, violatingthe king'scommand,and yieldedup their bodiessoas not to serveor worshipanygodexcepttheir own God.
"My GodsentHis angeland shutthe lions'mouthsand they have not harmedme, inasmuchas I was foundinnocentbeforeHim; and alsotowardyou, O king,I have committednocrime."
I will bearthe indignationof the LORDBecauseI have sinnedagainst Him, UntilHe pleadsmy caseand executesjusticefor me. He will bringme out to the light,[And] I will seeHis righteousness.
Sun[and] moonstoodin their places;They wentaway at the lightof Your arrows,At the radianceof Your gleamingspear.
[His] radianceis like the sunlight;He has rays[flashing] from His hand,And thereis the hidingof His power.
Nowwhen they had gone,behold,an angelof the Lordappearedto Josephin a dreamand said,"Getup! Takethe Childand His motherand fleeto Egypt,and remainthereuntilI tellyou; for Herodis goingto searchfor the Childto destroyHim."
And an angelof the Lordsuddenly stood beforethem, and the gloryof the Lordshone aroundthem; and they were terriblyfrightened.
Whilethey were perplexedaboutthis,behold,twomensuddenly stood nearthem in dazzlingclothing;
Corneliussaid,"Fourdaysagoto thishour,I was prayingin my houseduring the ninth hour;and behold,a manstoodbeforeme in shininggarments,
And immediatelyan angelof the Lordstruckhim becausehe did not giveGodthe glory,and he was eaten by wormsand died.
On the verynightwhenHerodwas aboutto bring him forward,Peterwas sleepingbetweentwosoldiers,boundwith twochains,and guardsin frontof the doorwere watching overthe prison.
And the angelsaidto him, "Girdyourself and puton your sandals."And he didso.And he saidto him, "Wrapyour cloakaroundyou and followme."
and suddenlythere camea greatearthquake,sothat the foundationsof the prison housewere shaken;and immediatelyallthe doorswere openedand everyone'schainswere unfastened.
"But Godraised Him up again,putting an endto the agonyof death,sinceit was impossiblefor Him to be heldin its power.
But duringthe nightan angelof the Lordopenedthe gatesof the prison,and takingthem out he said,
As he was traveling,it happenedthat he was approachingDamascus,and suddenlya lightfrom heavenflashed aroundhim;
For this reasonit says,"Awake,sleeper,And arisefrom the dead,And Christwill shineon you."
Are they not allministeringspirits,sentout to render servicefor the sakeof thosewho willinheritsalvation?
Afterthese thingsI sawanotherangelcoming downfrom heaven,havinggreatauthority,and the earthwas illuminedwith his glory.
