But the Lordis faithful,and He will strengthenand protectyou from the evil[one].
The angelwho has redeemedme from allevil,Blessthe lads;And may my nameliveon in them, And the namesof my fathersAbrahamand Isaac;And may they growinto a multitudein the midstof the earth."
Now Jabezcalledon the Godof Israel,saying,"Ohthat You would blessme indeedand enlargemy border,and that Your handmight be with me, and that You would keep[me] from harmthat [it] may not painme!" And Godgrantedhim whathe requested.
The LORDwill protectyou from allevil;He will keepyour soul.
AlsokeepbackYour servantfrom presumptuous[sins]; Let them not ruleover me; ThenI will be blameless,And I shall be acquittedof greattransgression.
"But let your statementbe, 'Yes,yes[or] 'No,no;anything beyondtheseis of evil.
And do not leadus into temptation,but deliverus from evil.[For Yoursis the kingdomand the powerand the gloryforever.Amen].'
And forgiveus our sins,For we ourselvesalsoforgiveeveryonewho is indebtedto us. And leadus not into temptation.'"
"I do not askYou to takethem out of the world,but to keepthem from the evil[one].
Godis faithful,throughwhomyou were calledinto fellowshipwith His Son,JesusChristour Lord.
Notemptationhas overtakenyou but such as is common to man;and Godis faithful,whowill not allowyou to be temptedbeyondwhatyou are able,but with the temptationwill providethe way of escapealso,so that you will be ableto endureit.
Faithfulis He who callsyou, and He alsowill bring it to pass.
comfortand strengthenyour heartsin everygoodworkand word.
The Lordwill rescueme from everyevildeed,and will bring me safelyto His heavenlykingdom;to Him [be] the gloryforeverand ever.Amen.
After you have sufferedfor a little while,the Godof allgrace,who calledyou to His eternalgloryin Christ,will Himselfperfect,confirm,strengthen[and] establishyou.
[then] the Lordknows howto rescuethe godlyfrom temptation,and to keepthe unrighteousunder punishmentfor the dayof judgment,
Nowto Him who is ableto keepyou from stumbling,and to make you standin the presenceof His gloryblamelesswith great joy,
