Uriahsaidto David,"The arkand Israeland Judahare stayingin temporaryshelters,and my lordJoaband the servantsof my lordare campingin the openfield.Shall I then goto my houseto eatand to drinkand to liewith my wife?By your lifeand the lifeof your soul,I will not dothisthing."
Then the LORDsentNathanto David.And he cameto him and said,"There were twomenin onecity,the onerichand the otherpoor.
Then Hiramkingof Tyresentmessengersto Davidwith cedartreesand carpentersand stonemasons;and they builta housefor David.
So they broughtin the arkof the LORDand setit in its placeinsidethe tentwhichDavidhad pitchedfor it; and Davidofferedburntofferingsand peaceofferingsbeforethe LORD.
In accordance with allthesewordsand allthisvision,soNathanspoketo David.
Behold,while she was stillspeakingwith the king,Nathanthe prophetcamein.
But Zadokthe priest,Benaiahthe sonof Jehoiada,Nathanthe prophet,Shimei,Rei,and the mightymenwhobelonged to David,were not with Adonijah.
and Azariahthe sonof Nathan[was] overthe deputies;and Zabudthe sonof Nathan,a priest,[was] the king'sfriend;

He then stationedthe Levitesin the houseof the LORDwith cymbals,with harpsand with lyres,according to the commandof Davidand of Gadthe king'sseer,and of Nathanthe prophet;for the commandwas from the LORDthroughHis prophets.

Howhe sworeto the LORDAnd vowedto the MightyOneof Jacob,

He broughtthe arkinto the tabernacle,and setup a veilfor the screen,and screenedoffthe arkof the testimony,justas the LORDhad commandedMoses.
"Is it timefor you yourselvesto dwellin your paneledhouseswhile thishouse[lies] desolate?"
His disciplesrememberedthat it was written,"ZEALFOR YOUR HOUSEWILL CONSUMEME."
"[David] foundfavorin God'ssight,and askedthat he might finda dwelling placefor the Godof Jacob.
