So Samuelsaidto him, "The LORDhas tornthe kingdomof Israelfrom you todayand has givenit to your neighbor,who is betterthanyou.
"The LORDhas doneaccordinglyas He spokethroughme; for the LORDhas tornthe kingdomout of your handand givenit to your neighbor,to David.
AllIsraelfrom Daneven to Beershebaknewthat Samuelwas confirmedas a prophetof the LORD.
