Then Davidsaidto Uriah,"Godownto your house,and washyour feet."And Uriahwentout of the king'shouse,and a presentfrom the kingwas sentout afterhim.
"Pleaselet a littlewaterbe broughtand washyour feet,and restyourselvesunderthe tree;
And he said,"Nowbehold,my lords,pleaseturnasideinto your servant'shouse,and spendthe night,and washyour feet;then you may riseearlyand goon your way."They saidhowever, "No,but we shall spendthe nightin the square."
Then the manbroughtthe meninto Joseph'shouseand gavethem water,and they washedtheir feet;and he gavetheir donkeysfodder.
He tookportionsto them from his own table,but Benjamin'sportionwas fivetimesas muchas anyof theirs. So they feastedand drankfreelywith him.
They speakfalsehoodto oneanother;With flatteringlipsand with a doubleheartthey speak.
Would not Godfindthisout? For He knowsthe secretsof the heart.
His speechwas smootherthanbutter,But his heartwas war;His wordswere softerthanoil,Yet they were drawnswords.
Woeto those who deeplyhidetheir plansfrom the LORD,And whose deedsare [done] in a darkplace,And they say,"Whoseesus?" or "Whoknowsus?"
"But there is nothingcoveredup that will not be revealed,and hiddenthat will not be known.
Turningtowardthe woman,He saidto Simon,"Do you seethiswoman?I enteredyour house;you gaveMe nowaterfor My feet,but she has wetMy feetwith her tearsand wipedthem with her hair.
And there is nocreaturehiddenfrom His sight,but all thingsare openand laid bareto the eyesof Him with whomwe have to do.
