Thus they destroyedthe cities;and eachonethrewa stoneon everypieceof goodlandand filledit. So they stoppedallthe springsof waterand felledallthe goodtrees,untilin Kir-hareseth[only] they leftits stones;however, the slingerswentabout[it] and struckit.
Now allthe wellswhichhis father'sservantshad dugin the daysof Abrahamhis father,the Philistinesstoppedup by fillingthem with earth.
Then Isaacdugagainthe wellsof waterwhichhad been dugin the daysof his fatherAbraham,for the Philistineshad stoppedthem up afterthe deathof Abraham;and he gavethem the samenameswhichhis fatherhad giventhem.

But when they cameto the campof Israel,the Israelitesaroseand struckthe Moabites,so that they fledbeforethem; and they wentforward into the land, slaughteringthe Moabites.
When the kingof Moabsawthat the battlewas toofiercefor him, he tookwith him 700menwho drewswords,to breakthroughto the kingof Edom;but they couldnot.
So manypeopleassembledand stoppedup allthe springsand the streamwhich flowedthroughthe region,saying,"Whyshould the kingsof Assyriacomeand findabundantwater?"
The oracleconcerning Moab.Surelyin a nightArof Moabis devastated[and] ruined;Surelyin a nightKirof Moabis devastated[and] ruined.
Thereforemy heartintoneslike a harpfor MoabAnd my inwardfeelingsfor Kir-hareseth.
ThereforeMoabwill wail;everyoneof Moabwill wail.You will moanfor the raisincakesof Kir-haresethAs those whoare utterlystricken.
"ThereforeI will wailfor Moab,Even for allMoabwill I cryout; I will moanfor the menof Kir-heres.
"ThereforeMy heartwailsfor Moablike flutes;My heartalso wailslike flutesfor the menof Kir-heres.Thereforethey have lostthe abundanceit produced.
"Then the LORDsaidto me, 'Do not harassMoab,norprovokethem to war,for I will not giveyou anyof their landas a possession,becauseI have givenArto the sonsof Lotas a possession.
Abimelechfoughtagainst the cityallthat day,and he capturedthe cityand killedthe peoplewho[were] in it; then he razedthe cityand sowedit with salt.
