Isaiahsaid,"Thisshall be the signto you from the LORD,that the LORDwill dothe thingthat He has spoken:shall the shadowgoforward tenstepsorgobacktensteps?"
Then thisshall be the signfor you: you will eatthis yearwhatgrowsof itself, in the secondyearwhatspringsfrom the same, and in the thirdyearsow,reap,plantvineyards,and eattheir fruit.
So Hezekiahanswered,"It is easyfor the shadowto declinetensteps;no,but let the shadowturnbackwardtensteps."
Now Hezekiahsaidto Isaiah,"Whatwill be the signthat the LORDwill healme, and that I shall goup to the houseof the LORDthe thirdday?"
In thosedaysHezekiahbecamemortallyill.And Isaiahthe prophetthe sonof Amozcameto him and saidto him, "Thussaysthe LORD,Setyour housein order,for you shall dieand not live.'"
ThenJoshuaspoketo the LORDin the daywhen the LORDdeliveredup the Amoritesbeforethe sonsof Israel,and he saidin the sightof Israel,"O sun,standstillat Gibeon,And O moonin the valleyof Aijalon."
"But ifthey say,'Comeup to us,' then we will goup, for the LORDhas giventhem into our hands;and thisshall be the signto us."
