And the peoplestoodby, lookingon. And eventhe rulerswere sneeringat Him, saying,"He savedothers;let Him saveHimselfifthisis the Christof God,His Chosen One."
"HE TRUSTSIN GOD;LET GODRESCUE[Him] now,IFHE DELIGHTSIN HIM; for He said,'I amthe Sonof God.'"
Saying,"Godhas forsakenhim; Pursueand seizehim, for thereis nooneto deliver."
Do not castme offin the timeof oldage;Do not forsakeme when my strengthfails.
In the LORDI takerefuge;Howcan you sayto my soul,"Flee[as] a birdto your mountain;
O sonsof men,howlongwill my honorbecome a reproach?[How long] will you lovewhatis worthlessand aimat deception?Selah.
Whomhave you reproachedand blasphemed?And againstwhomhave you raised[your] voice,And haughtilyliftedup your eyes?Againstthe HolyOneof Israel!
"Thusyou shall sayto Hezekiahkingof Judah,Do not let your Godin whomyou trustdeceiveyou saying,"Jerusalemwill not be giveninto the handof the kingof Assyria."
"Thussaysthe king,Do not let Hezekiahdeceiveyou, for he will not be ableto deliveryou from my hand;
Do not listento Hezekiah,for thussaysthe kingof Assyria,"Makeyour peacewith me and comeout to me, and eateachof his vineand eachof his figtreeand drinkeachof the watersof his own cistern,
Isaiahsaidto them, "Thusyou shall sayto your master,'Thussaysthe LORD,"Do not be afraidbecauseof the wordsthat you have heard,with whichthe servantsof the kingof Assyriahave blasphemedMe.
But You, O LORD,are a shieldaboutme, My glory,and the One who liftsmy head.
ThesethingsI rememberand I pourout my soulwithinme. For I used to goalongwith the throng[and] leadthem in processionto the houseof God,With the voiceof joyand thanksgiving,a multitudekeepingfestival.
