Becauseof the proofgiven by thisministry,they will glorifyGodfor [your] obedienceto your confessionof the gospelof Christand for the liberalityof your contributionto them and to all,
"He who offersa sacrificeof thanksgivinghonorsMe; And to him who orders[his] way[aright] I shall showthe salvationof God."
"Let your lightshinebeforemenin such a waythat they may seeyour goodworks,and glorifyyour Fatherwho is in heaven.
But when the crowdssaw[this], they were awestruck,and glorifiedGod,who had givensuchauthorityto men.
"Whydo you callMe, 'Lord,Lord,'and do not dowhatI say?
"My Fatheris glorifiedby this,that you bearmuchfruit,and [so] proveto be My disciples.
When they heardthis,they quieted downand glorifiedGod,saying,"Well then,Godhas grantedto the Gentilesalsothe repentance[that leads] to life."
When they had threatened them further,they let them go(findingno basison which to punishthem) on accountof the people,becausethey were allglorifyingGodfor what had happened;
However,they did not allheedthe good news;for Isaiahsays,"LORD,WHOHAS BELIEVEDOUR REPORT?"
orhe who exhorts,in his exhortation;he who gives,with liberality;he who leads,with diligence;he who shows mercy,with cheerfulness.
that I may be rescuedfrom thosewho are disobedientin Judea,and [that] my servicefor Jerusalemmay proveacceptableto the saints;
but nowis manifested,and by the Scripturesof the prophets,accordingto the commandmentof the eternalGod,has been made knownto allthe nations,[leading] to obedienceof faith;
[We are] destroyingspeculationsand everylofty thingraisedup againstthe knowledgeof God,and [we are] takingeverythoughtcaptiveto the obedienceof Christ,
Nowwhen I cameto Troasfor the gospelof Christand when a doorwas openedfor me in the Lord,
beggingus with muchurgingfor the favorof participationin the supportof the saints,
while they also,by prayeron your behalf,yearnfor you becauseof the surpassinggraceof Godin you.
And they were glorifyingGodbecauseof me.
Fightthe goodfightof faith;take holdof the eternallifeto whichyou were called,and you madethe goodconfessionin the presenceof manywitnesses.
I chargeyou in the presenceof God,who gives lifeto all things,and of ChristJesus,who testifiedthe goodconfessionbeforePontiusPilate,
Let us hold fastthe confessionof our hopewithout wavering,for He who promisedis faithful;
And do not neglectdoing goodand sharing,for with suchsacrificesGodis pleased.
Therefore,holybrethren,partakersof a heavenlycalling,considerJesus,the Apostleand High Priestof our confession;
Therefore,since we havea greathigh priestwhohas passed throughthe heavens,Jesusthe Sonof God,let us hold fastour confession.
And having been made perfect,He becameto allthosewho obeyHim the sourceof eternalsalvation,
But you are A CHOSENRACE,A royalPRIESTHOOD,A HOLYNATION,A PEOPLEFOR [God's] OWN POSSESSION,sothat you may proclaimthe excellenciesof Him who has calledyou out of darknessinto His marvelouslight;
Whoeverspeaks,[is to do so] as onewho is speakingthe utterancesof God;whoeverserves[is to do] [so] as onewho is servingby the strengthwhichGodsupplies;sothat in all thingsGodmay be glorifiedthroughJesusChrist,to whombelongsthe gloryand dominionforeverand ever.Amen.
Her mother-in-lawthen saidto her, "Wheredid you gleantodayand wheredid you work?May he who tooknoticeof you be blessed."So she toldher mother-in-lawwith whomshe had workedand said,"The nameof the manwith whomI workedtodayis Boaz."
