Now when the queenof Shebaheardof the fameof Solomon,she cameto Jerusalemto testSolomonwith difficultquestions.She had a verylargeretinue,with camelscarryingspicesand a largeamountof goldand preciousstones;and when she cameto Solomon,she spokewith him about allthat was on her heart.

The sonsof Cush[were] Sebaand Havilahand Sabtahand Raamahand Sabteca;and the sonsof Raamah[were] Shebaand Dedan.
Jokshanbecamethe fatherof Shebaand Dedan.And the sonsof Dedanwere Asshurimand Letushimand Leummim.
For he was wiserthanallmen,thanEthanthe Ezrahite,Heman,Calcoland Darda,the sonsof Mahol;and his famewas [known] in allthe surroundingnations.
Now Solomonthe sonof Davidestablishedhimself securelyoverhis kingdom,and the LORDhis God[was] with him and exaltedhim greatly.
wisdomand knowledgehave been grantedto you. And I will giveyou richesand wealthand honor,suchas noneof the kingswhowere beforeyou has possessednorthose who will come afteryou."
Solomonansweredallher questions;nothingwas hiddenfrom Solomonwhichhe did not explainto her.
Then she gavethe kingone hundredand twentytalentsof goldand a verygreat[amount of] spicesand preciousstones;there hadneverbeenspicelike that whichthe queenof Shebagaveto KingSolomon.
I pourout my complaintbeforeHim; I declaremy troublebeforeHim.
I will inclinemy earto a proverb;I will expressmy riddleon the harp.
Let the kingsof Tarshishand of the islandsbringpresents;The kingsof Shebaand Sebaoffergifts.
So may he live,and may the goldof Shebabe givento him; And let them prayfor him continually;Let them blesshim alldaylong.
I will openmy mouthin a parable;I will utterdarksayingsof old,
To understanda proverband a figure,The wordsof the wiseand their riddles.
"A multitudeof camelswill coveryou, The youngcamelsof Midianand Ephah;Allthose from Shebawill come;They will bringgoldand frankincense,And will beargood newsof the praisesof the LORD.
"You broodof vipers,howcanyou, beingevil,speakwhat is good?For the mouthspeaksout of that which fillsthe heart.
"[The] Queenof [the] Southwill riseup with thisgenerationat the judgmentand will condemnit, becauseshe camefrom the endsof the earthto hearthe wisdomof Solomon;and behold,something greaterthan Solomonis here.
Jesus answeredthem, "To you it has been grantedto knowthe mysteriesof the kingdomof heaven,but to them it has not been granted.
[This was] to fulfillwhatwas spokenthroughthe prophet:"I WILL OPENMY MOUTHIN PARABLES;I WILL UTTERTHINGS HIDDENSINCETHE FOUNDATIONOF THE WORLD."
Aftercominginto the housethey sawthe Childwith MaryHis mother;and they fellto the ground and worshipedHim. Then,openingtheir treasures,they presentedto Him giftsof gold,frankincense,and myrrh.
"The Queenof the Southwill riseup with the menof thisgenerationat the judgmentand condemnthem, becauseshe camefrom the endsof the earthto hearthe wisdomof Solomon;and behold,something greaterthan Solomonis here.
But Hannahreplied,"No,my lord,I am a womanoppressedin spirit;I have drunkneitherwinenorstrongdrink,but I have pouredout my soulbeforethe LORD.
