Therefore the LORDbroughtthe commandersof the armyof the kingof Assyriaagainstthem, and they capturedManassehwith hooks,boundhim with bronze[chains] and tookhim to Babylon.

and saidto Jeremiahthe prophet,"Pleaselet our petitioncomebeforeyou, and prayfor us to the LORDyour God,[that is] for allthisremnant;becausewe are left[but] a fewout of many,as your own eyes[now] seeus,
"Now behold,he hasa sonwho has observedallhis father'ssinswhichhe committed,and observingdoes not dolikewise.
"Therefore I pouredout My wrathon them for the bloodwhichthey had shedon the land,because they had defiledit with their idols.
For the wrathof Godis revealedfrom heavenagainstallungodlinessand unrighteousnessof menwho suppressthe truthin unrighteousness,
for the Lawbrings aboutwrath,but wherethere is nolaw,there also is noviolation.
