KingUzziahwas a leperto the dayof his death;and he livedin a separatehouse,beinga leper,for he was cutofffrom the houseof the LORD.And Jothamhis son[was] overthe king'shousejudgingthe peopleof the land.
Now there were fourleprousmenat the entranceof the gate;and they saidto oneanother,"Whydo we sithereuntilwe die?
Azariahthe chiefpriestand allthe priestslookedat him, and behold,he [was] leprouson his forehead;and they hurriedhim out of there,and he himselfalsohastenedto getout becausethe LORDhad smittenhim.
Jothamwas twenty-fiveyearsoldwhen he becameking,and he reignedsixteenyearsin Jerusalem.And his mother'snamewas Jerushahthe daughterof Zadok.
"He shall remainuncleanallthe daysduring whichhe has the infection;he is unclean.He shall livealone;his dwellingshall be outsidethe camp.
"The one to be cleansedshall then washhis clothesand shaveoffallhis hairand bathein waterand be clean.Now afterward,he may enterthe camp,but he shall stayoutsidehis tentfor sevendays.
So Miriamwas shutup outsidethe campfor sevendays,and the peopledid not moveon untilMiriamwas receivedagain.
The sonsof Israeldidsoand sentthem outsidethe camp;justas the LORDhad spokento Moses,thusthe sonsof Israeldid.
