So Joramsleptwith his fathersand was buriedwith his fathersin the cityof David;and Ahaziahhis sonbecamekingin his place.
So allof the peopleof the landrejoicedand the citywas quiet.For they had putAthaliahto deathwith the sword.
They buriedhim in the cityof Davidamongthe kings,becausehe had donewellin Israeland to Godand His house.
When they had departedfrom him (for they lefthim verysick),his own servantsconspiredagainsthim because of the bloodof the sonof Jehoiadathe priest,and murderedhim on his bed.So he died,and they buriedhim in the cityof David,but they did not buryhim in the tombsof the kings.
So Uzziahsleptwith his fathers,and they buriedhim with his fathersin the fieldof the gravewhichbelonged to the kings,for they said,"He is a leper."And Jothamhis sonbecamekingin his place.
Now the restof his actsand allhis ways,from firstto last,behold,they are writtenin the Bookof the Kingsof Judahand Israel.
So Ahazsleptwith his fathers,and they buriedhim in the city,in Jerusalem,for they did not bringhim into the tombsof the kingsof Israel;and Hezekiahhis sonreignedin his place.
So Manassehsleptwith his fathers,and they buriedhim in his own house.And Amonhis sonbecamekingin his place.
The memoryof the righteousis blessed,But the nameof the wickedwill rot.
Thereforethussaysthe LORDin regardto Jehoiakimthe sonof Josiah,kingof Judah,"They will not lamentfor him: 'Alas,my brother!'or, 'Alas,sister!'They will not lamentfor him: 'Alasfor the master!'or, 'Alasfor his splendor!'
"Is thismanConiaha despised,shatteredjar?Oris he an undesirablevessel?Whyhave he and his descendantsbeen hurledout And castinto a landthat they had not known?
