"Behold,I am about to builda housefor the nameof the LORDmy God,dedicatingit to Him, to burnfragrantincensebeforeHim and [to set out] the showbreadcontinually,and to offer burntofferingsmorningand evening,on sabbathsand on newmoonsand on the appointedfeastsof the LORDour God,this[being required] foreverin Israel.
"Behold,I intendto builda housefor the nameof the LORDmy God,as the LORDspoketo Davidmy father,saying,'Your son,whomI will seton your thronein your place,he will buildthe housefor My name.'
"But the LORDsaidto my fatherDavid,'Becauseit was in your heartto builda housefor My name,you didwellthat it was in your heart.
Solomonofferedfor the sacrificeof peaceofferings,whichhe offeredto the LORD,22000oxenand 120,000sheep.So the kingand allthe sonsof Israeldedicatedthe houseof the LORD.
Davidsaid,"My sonSolomonis youngand inexperienced,and the housethat is to be builtfor the LORDshall be exceedinglymagnificent,famousand gloriousthroughout alllands.[Therefore] nowI will makepreparationfor it." So Davidmadeamplepreparationsbeforehis death.
"Everymorningand eveningthey burnto the LORDburntofferingsand fragrantincense,and the showbreadis [set] on the cleantable,and the goldenlampstandwith its lampsis [ready] to lighteveryevening;for we keepthe chargeof the LORDour God,but you have forsakenHim.
Now Solomondecidedto builda housefor the nameof the LORDand a royalpalacefor himself.
for the showbread,for the continualgrain offering,for the continualburntoffering,the sabbaths,the newmoon,for the appointedtimes,for the holythingsand for the sinofferingsto makeatonementfor Israel,and allthe workof the houseof our God.
Thereis noonelikeYou among the gods,O Lord,Norare thereany workslike Yours.
For greatis the LORDand greatlyto be praised;He is to be fearedaboveallgods.
"You shall setthe breadof the Presenceon the tablebeforeMe at alltimes.
"Aaronshall burnfragrantincenseon it; he shall burnit every morningwhen he trimsthe lamps.
He has takena bagof moneywith him, At the fullmoonhe will comehome."
