"But as for us, the LORDis our God,and we have not forsakenHim; and the sonsof Aaronare ministeringto the LORDas priests,and the Levitesattend to their work.
"Everymorningand eveningthey burnto the LORDburntofferingsand fragrantincense,and the showbreadis [set] on the cleantable,and the goldenlampstandwith its lampsis [ready] to lighteveryevening;for we keepthe chargeof the LORDour God,but you have forsakenHim.
"Have you not drivenout the priestsof the LORD,the sonsof Aaronand the Levites,and madefor yourselves priestslike the peoplesof [other] lands?Whoevercomesto consecratehimselfwith a youngbulland sevenrams,even he may becomea priestof [what are] nogods.
Thus I purifiedthem from everythingforeignand appointeddutiesfor the priestsand the Levites,eachin his task,
"And I will bringthe thirdpartthrough the fire,Refinethem as silveris refined,And testthem as goldis tested.They will callon My name,And I will answerthem; I will say,They are My people,'And they will say,'The LORDis my God.'"
"But the Levitesshall camparoundthe tabernacleof the testimony,so that there will be nowrathon the congregationof the sonsof Israel.So the Levitesshall keepchargeof the tabernacleof the testimony."
as a reminderto the sonsof Israelthat nolaymanwhois not of the descendantsof Aaronshould comenearto burnincensebeforethe LORD;so that he will not becomelike Korahand his company--justas the LORDhad spokento him throughMoses.
for the LORDour Godis He who broughtus and our fathersup out of the landof Egypt,from the houseof bondage,and whodidthesegreatsignsin our sightand preservedus through allthe wayin whichwe wentand among allthe peoplesthrough whosemidstwe passed.
