Do not trustin oppressionAnd do not vainlyhopein robbery;Ifrichesincrease,do not set[your] heart[upon them].
Set your mindon the things above,not on the things that are on earth.
So Saulsaidto his uncle,"He toldus plainlythat the donkeyshad been found."But he did not tellhim about the matterof the kingdomwhichSamuelhad mentioned.
"Nowtherefore, hereis the kingwhomyou have chosen,whomyou have askedfor, and behold,the LORDhas seta kingoveryou.
"Ifyou will not listento the voiceof the LORD,but rebelagainstthe commandof the LORD,then the handof the LORDwill be against you, [as it was] against your fathers.
And about the timeof her deaththe women who stoodby her saidto her, "Do not be afraid,for you have givenbirthto a son."But she did not answeror payattention.
Nevertheless, the peoplerefusedto listento the voiceof Samuel,and they said,"No,but there shall be a kingoverus,
and they saidto him, "Behold,you have grownold,and your sonsdo not walkin your ways.Nowappointa kingfor us to judgeus like allthe nations."
SamuelansweredSauland said,"I am the seer.Goup beforeme to the highplace,for you shall eatwith me today;and in the morningI will letyou go,and will tellyou allthat is on your mind.
Now the donkeysof Kish,Saul'sfather,were lost.So Kishsaidto his sonSaul,"Takenowwith you oneof the servants,and arise,gosearchfor the donkeys."
