So Davidhad capturedallthe sheepand the cattle[which the people] droveaheadof the [other] livestock,and they said,"Thisis David'sspoil."
They alsostruckdownthose who ownedlivestock,and they carriedaway largenumbersof sheepand camels.Then they returnedto Jerusalem.
When Jehoshaphatand his peoplecameto taketheir spoil,they foundmuchamong them, [including] goods,garmentsand valuablethingswhich they tookfor themselves, more thanthey could carry.And they were threedaystakingthe spoilbecausethere was so much.
Therefore,I will allotHim a portionwith the great,And He will dividethe bootywith the strong;BecauseHe pouredout Himselfto death,And was numberedwith the transgressors;Yet He Himselfborethe sinof many,And intercededfor the transgressors.
But in allthese thingswe overwhelmingly conquerthroughHim who lovedus.
When Davidcameto the two hundredmenwhowere tooexhaustedto followDavid,who had also been leftat the brookBesor,and they wentout to meetDavidand to meetthe peoplewhowere with him, then Davidapproachedthe peopleand greetedthem.
Now when Davidcameto Ziklag,he sent[some] of the spoilto the eldersof Judah,to his friends,saying,"Behold,a giftfor you from the spoilof the enemiesof the LORD:
