and they tookcaptivethe women[and all] whowere in it, bothsmalland great,withoutkillinganyone,and carried[them] offand wenttheir way.

For the wrathof manshall praiseYou; With a remnantof wrathYou will girdYourself.
Daviddid not leavea manor a womanaliveto bringto Gath,saying,"Otherwisethey will tellaboutus, saying,'Sohas Daviddoneand so[has been] his practiceallthe timehe has livedin the countryof the Philistines.'"
But nothingof theirswas missing,whethersmallorgreat,sonsor daughters,spoiloranythingthat they had takenfor themselves;Davidbrought[it] allback.
When Davidand his mencameto the city,behold,it was burnedwith fire,and their wivesand their sonsand their daughtershad been takencaptive.
