"Whyshould I takemy fleshin my teethAnd putmy lifein my hands?
"When I sawthat you would not deliver[me], I tookmy lifein my handsand crossedoveragainstthe sonsof Ammon,and the LORDgavethem into my hand.Whythen have you comeup to me thisdayto fightagainst me?"
"For he tookhis lifein his handand struckthe Philistine,and the LORDbroughtabouta greatdeliverancefor allIsrael;you saw[it] and rejoiced.Whythen will you sinagainst innocentbloodby puttingDavidto deathwithouta cause?"
Then Saulimmediatelyfellfulllengthupon the groundand was veryafraidbecauseof the wordsof Samuel;alsothere was nostrengthin him, for he had eatennofoodalldayand allnight.
"So nowalso,pleaselistento the voiceof your maidservant,and let me seta pieceof breadbeforeyou that [you may] eatand havestrengthwhenyou goon [your] way."
