"Ifit pleasemy father[to do] you harm,may the LORDdosoto Jonathanand morealso,if I do not makeit knownto you and sendyou away,that you may goin safety.And may the LORDbe with you as He has beenwith my father.
"Sayto Amasa,'Are you not my boneand my flesh?May Goddosoto me, and morealso,ifyou will not be commanderof the armybeforeme continuallyin placeof Joab.'"
Then allthe peoplecameto persuade Davidto eatbreadwhile it was stillday;but Davidvowed,saying,"May Goddosoto me, and morealso,ifI tastebreadoranythingelsebeforethe sungoesdown."
but My lovingkindnessshall not departfrom him, as I took[it] awayfrom Saul,whomI removedfrom beforeyou.
"As the LORDhas beenwith my lordthe king,somay He be with Solomon,and makehis thronegreaterthanthe throneof my lordKingDavid!"
Then Jezebelsenta messengerto Elijah,saying,"Somay the godsdoto me and evenmore,ifI do not makeyour lifeas the lifeof oneof them by tomorrowabout this time."
Ben-hadadsentto him and said,"May the godsdosoto me and morealso,ifthe dustof Samariawill sufficefor handfulsfor allthe peoplewhofollowme."
"Now,my son,the LORDbe with you that you may be successful,and buildthe houseof the LORDyour Godjustas He has spokenconcerningyou.
"Of the gold,the silverand the bronzeand the ironthereis nolimit.Ariseand work,and may the LORDbe with you."
teachingthem to observeallthat I commandedyou; and lo,I amwith you always,evento the endof the age."
The thingsyou have learnedand receivedand heardand seenin me, practicethese things,and the Godof peacewill be with you.
"Nomanwill [be able to] standbeforeyou allthe daysof your life.Justas I have beenwith Moses,I will be with you; I will not failyou or forsakeyou.
"Whereyou die,I will die,and thereI will be buried.Thusmay the LORDdoto me, and worse,if[anything but] deathpartsyou and me."
"It shall be whenthesesignscometo you, dofor yourself whatthe occasionrequires,for Godis with you.
Now when Saulhad takenthe kingdomoverIsrael,he foughtagainst allhis enemieson everyside,against Moab,the sonsof Ammon,Edom,the kingsof Zobah,and the Philistines;and whereverhe turned,he inflictedpunishment.
And Davidsaid,"The LORDwhodeliveredme from the pawof the lionand from the pawof the bear,He will deliverme from the handof thisPhilistine."And Saulsaidto David,"Go,and may the LORDbe with you."
Now Saulwas afraidof David,for the LORDwas with him but had departedfrom Saul.
"I will goout and standbesidemy fatherin the fieldwhereyou are, and I will speakwith my fatherabout you; if I findout anything,then I will tellyou."
Then Jonathansaidto David,"The LORD,the Godof Israel,[be witness]! WhenI have soundedout my fatherabout this timetomorrow,[or] the thirdday, behold,if there is good[feeling] towardDavid,shall I not thensendto you and makeit knownto you?
"IfI am stillalive,will you not showme the lovingkindnessof the LORD,that I may not die?
"May Goddosoto the enemiesof David,and morealso,ifby morningI leave[as much as] one maleof anywhobelong to him."
He said,"Whatis the wordthat He spoketo you? Pleasedo not hideit from me. May Goddosoto you, and morealso,ifyou hideanythingfrom me of allthe wordsthat He spoketo you."
