He aroseand wentinto the house,and he pouredthe oilon his headand saidto him, "Thussaysthe LORD,the Godof Israel,I have anointedyou kingoverthe peopleof the LORD,[even] overIsrael.
"Both richesand honor[come] from You, and You ruleover all,and in Your handis powerand might;and it lies in Your handto makegreatand to strengtheneveryone.
Now Hezekiahhadimmenserichesand honor;and he madefor himself treasuriesfor silver,gold,preciousstones,spices,shieldsand allkinds of valuablearticles,
He madecitiesfor himself and acquiredflocksand herdsin abundance,for Godhad givenhim verygreatwealth.
He said,"NakedI camefrom my mother'swomb,And nakedI shall returnthere.The LORDgaveand the LORDhas takenaway. Blessedbe the nameof the LORD."
"Lookon everyonewhois proud,[and] humblehim, And treaddownthe wickedwherethey stand.
So that He setson highthose who are lowly,And those who mournare liftedto safety.
Becauseof Your indignationand Your wrath,For You have liftedme up and castme away.
But Godis the Judge;He putsdownoneand exaltsanother.
For a cupis in the handof the LORD,and the winefoams;It is wellmixed,and He poursout of this;Surelyallthe wickedof the earthmust drain[and] drinkdownits dregs.
The richand the poorhavea commonbond,The LORDis the makerof them all.
For the LORDof hostswill have a day[of reckoning] Againsteveryonewhois proudand loftyAnd againsteveryonewho is liftedup, That he may be abased.
"For behold,I have madeyou smallamong the nations,Despisedamong men.
"Allthe treesof the fieldwill knowthat I am the LORD;I bringdownthe hightree,exaltthe lowtree,dryup the greentreeand make the drytreeflourish.I am the LORD;I have spoken,and I will perform[it]."
Humbleyourselves in the presenceof the Lord,and He will exaltyou.
