He saidto him, "O sonof the king,whyare you sodepressedmorningafter morning?Will you not tellme?" Then Amnonsaidto him, "I am in lovewith Tamar,the sisterof my brotherAbsalom."
It cameabout, as though it had been a trivialthingfor him to walkin the sinsof Jeroboamthe sonof Nebat,that he marriedJezebelthe daughterof Ethbaalkingof the Sidonians,and wentto serveBaaland worshipedhim.

So Ahabcameinto his housesullenand vexedbecauseof the wordwhichNaboththe Jezreelitehad spokento him; for he said,"I will not giveyou the inheritanceof my fathers."And he laydownon his bedand turnedawayhis faceand atenofood.
So he saidto her, "BecauseI spoketo Naboththe Jezreeliteand saidto him, 'Giveme your vineyardfor money;orelse, ifit pleasesyou, I will giveyou a vineyardin its place.'But he said,'I will not giveyou my vineyard.'"
So the kingsaidto me, "Whyis your facesadthough you are not sick?Thisis nothingbut sadnessof heart."Then I was verymuchafraid.
Then EsthersummonedHathachfrom the king'seunuchs,whomthe king had appointedto attendher, and orderedhim [to go] to Mordecaito learnwhatthis[was] and whyit [was].
