Now allthe Moabitesheardthat the kingshad comeup to fightagainst them. And allwho were able to puton armorand olderwere summonedand stoodon the border.
"Layyour handon him; Rememberthe battle;you will not doit again!
Do not boastabout tomorrow,For you do not knowwhata daymay bringforth.
I againsawunderthe sunthat the raceis not to the swiftand the battleis not to the warriors,and neitheris breadto the wisenorwealthto the discerningnorfavorto men of ability;for timeand chanceovertakethem all.
