The waterflowedaroundthe altarand he alsofilledthe trenchwith water.
So with the stoneshe builtan altarin the nameof the LORD,and he madea trencharoundthe altar,largeenough to holdtwo measuresof seed.
And he said,"Fillfourpitcherswith waterand pour[it] on the burntofferingand on the wood."And he said,"Doit a secondtime,"and they didit a secondtime.And he said,"Doit a thirdtime,"and they didit a thirdtime.
At the timeof the offeringof the [evening] sacrifice,Elijahthe prophetcamenearand said,"O LORD,the Godof Abraham,Isaacand Israel,todaylet it be knownthat You are Godin Israeland that I am Your servantand I have doneallthesethingsat Your word.
Then the fireof the LORDfelland consumedthe burntofferingand the woodand the stonesand the dust,and lickedup the waterthat was in the trench.
