He saidto her, "Giveme your son."Then he tookhim from her bosomand carriedhim up to the upperroomwherehe was living,and laidhim on his own bed.
So she saidto Elijah,"Whatdo I have to do with you, O manof God?You have cometo me to bringmy iniquityto remembranceand to putmy sonto death!"
He calledto the LORDand said,"O LORDmy God,have You alsobroughtcalamityto the widowwith whomI am staying,by causing her sonto die?"
"Please,let us makea littlewalledupperchamberand let us seta bedfor him there,and a tableand a chairand a lampstand;and it shall be, when he comesto us, [that] he can turnin there."
She wentup and laidhim on the bedof the manof God,and shut[the door] behindhim and wentout.
When Elishacameinto the house,beholdthe ladwas deadand laidon his bed.
And it happenedat that timethat she fell sickand died;and when they had washedher body, they laidit in an upper room.
