By thiswe knowthat we have come to knowHim, ifwe keepHis commandments.
I shall runthe wayof Your commandments,For You will enlargemy heart.He.
ThenI shall not be ashamedWhen I lookupon allYour commandments.
As a resultof the anguishof His soul,He will see[it and] be satisfied;By His knowledgethe RighteousOne,My Servant,will justifythe many,As He will beartheir iniquities.
"Whydo you callMe, 'Lord,Lord,'and do not dowhatI say?
"Ifyou loveMe, you will keepMy commandments.
"Ifyou keepMy commandments,you will abidein My love;justas I have keptMy Father'scommandmentsand abidein His love.
"You are My friendsifyou dowhatI commandyou.
"Thisis eternallife,that they may knowYou, the onlytrue God,and JesusChristwhomYou have sent.
For God,who said,"Lightshall shineout of darkness,"is the One whohas shonein our heartsto give the Lightof the knowledgeof the gloryof Godin the faceof Christ.
And having been made perfect,He becameto allthosewho obeyHim the sourceof eternalsalvation,
I am writingto you, fathers,becauseyou knowHim who has been from the beginning.I am writingto you, young men,becauseyou have overcomethe evil one.I have writtento you, children,becauseyou knowthe Father.
We knowthat we have passedout of deathinto life,becausewe lovethe brethren.He who does not loveabidesin death.
We will knowby thisthat we are of the truth,and will assureour heartbeforeHim
Noonewho abidesin Him sins;noonewho sinshas seenHim orknowsHim.
By thiswe knowthat we abidein Him and He in us, becauseHe has givenus of His Spirit.
Beloved,let us loveone another,for loveis from God;and everyonewho lovesis bornof Godand knowsGod.
We knowthat we are of God,and that the wholeworldliesin [the power of] the evil one.
By thiswe knowthat we lovethe childrenof God,whenwe loveGodand observeHis commandments.
For thisis the loveof God,that we keepHis commandments;and His commandmentsare not burdensome.
Sothe dragonwas enragedwith the woman,and went offto makewarwith the restof her children,who keepthe commandmentsof Godand holdto the testimonyof Jesus.
Hereis the perseveranceof the saintswho keepthe commandmentsof Godand their faithin Jesus.
Blessedare thosewho washtheir robes,sothat they may have the rightto the treeof life,and may enterby the gatesinto the city.
