And so,by sinningagainstthe brethrenand woundingtheir consciencewhen it is weak,you sinagainstChrist.
Then AbimelechcalledAbrahamand saidto him, "Whathave you doneto us? And howhave I sinnedagainst you, that you have broughton me and on my kingdoma greatsin?You have doneto me thingsthat ought not to be done."
Reubenansweredthem, saying,"Did I not tellyou, 'Do not sinagainst the boy;and you would not listen?Nowcomesthe reckoningfor his blood."
Mosessaid,"[This will happen] when the LORDgivesyou meatto eatin the evening,and breadto the fullin the morning;for the LORDhearsyour grumblingswhichyou grumbleagainstHim. And whatare we? Your grumblingsare not againstus but againstthe LORD."
Then Mosessaidto Aaron,"Whatdid thispeopledoto you, that you have brought[such] greatsinupon them?"
"Seethat you do not despiseoneof theselittle ones,for I sayto you that their angelsin heavencontinuallyseethe faceof My Fatherwho is in heaven.
ThenPetercameand saidto Him, "Lord,how oftenshall my brothersinagainstme and I forgivehim? Up to seven times?"
but whoevercausesoneof theselittle oneswho believein Me to stumble,it would be betterfor him to have a heavymillstonehungaroundhis neck,and to be drownedin the depthof the sea.
"The Kingwill answerand sayto them, 'TrulyI sayto you, to the extentthat you didit to oneof thesebrothersof Mine,[even] the least[of them], you didit to Me.'
"ThenHe will answerthem, 'TrulyI sayto you, to the extentthat you didnot doit to oneof the leastof these,you did not doit to Me.'
"Whoevercausesoneof theselittle oneswho believeto stumble,it would be betterfor him if,with a heavymillstonehungaroundhis neck,he had been castinto the sea.
"It would be betterfor him ifa millstonewere hungaroundhis neckand he were throwninto the sea,thanthat he would causeoneof theselittle onesto stumble.
Do not tear downthe workof Godfor the sakeof food.All thingsindeedare clean,but they are evilfor the manwho eatsand givesoffense.
For evenas the bodyis oneand [yet] hasmanymembers,and allthe membersof the body,though they are many,are onebody,soalsois Christ.
"Ifone mansinsagainst another,Godwill mediatefor him; but ifa mansinsagainst the LORD,whocan intercedefor him?" But they would not listento the voiceof their father,for the LORDdesiredto putthem to death.
"Now, my father,see!Indeed,seethe edgeof your robein my hand!For in that I cutoffthe edgeof your robeand did not killyou, knowand perceivethat thereis noevilor rebellionin my hands,and I have not sinnedagainst you, though you are lyingin waitfor my lifeto takeit.
