The LORDdid not saythat He would blotout the nameof Israelfrom underheaven,but He savedthem by the handof Jeroboamthe sonof Joash.
Then the captainof the guardtookSeraiahthe chiefpriestand Zephaniahthe secondpriest,with the threeofficersof the temple.
Then the kingof Babylonstruckthem down and putthem to deathat Riblahin the landof Hamath.So Judahwas ledawayinto exilefrom its land.
and Azariahbecamethe fatherof Seraiah,and Seraiahbecamethe fatherof Jehozadak;
The sonsof Levi[were] Gershom,Kohathand Merari.
thenZerubbabelthe sonof Shealtieland Jeshuathe sonof Jozadakaroseand beganto rebuildthe houseof Godwhichis in Jerusalem;and the prophetsof Godwere with them supportingthem.
But he said,"Please,Lord,nowsend[the message] by whomever You will."
As for the restof the peoplewho were leftin the city,the deserterswhohad goneoverto him and the restof the peoplewho remained,Nebuzaradanthe captainof the bodyguardcarried[them] into exilein Babylon.

Then Zerubbabelthe sonof Shealtiel,and Joshuathe sonof Jehozadak,the highpriest,with allthe remnantof the people,obeyedthe voiceof the LORDtheir Godand the wordsof Haggaithe prophet,as the LORDtheir Godhad senthim. And the peopleshowedreverencefor the LORD.
So the LORDstirredup the spiritof Zerubbabelthe sonof Shealtiel,governorof Judah,and the spiritof Joshuathe sonof Jehozadak,the highpriest,and the spiritof allthe remnantof the people;and they cameand workedon the houseof the LORDof hosts,their God,
"Speaknowto Zerubbabelthe sonof Shealtiel,governorof Judah,and to Joshuathe sonof Jehozadak,the highpriest,and to the remnantof the peoplesaying,
When they had arrivedand gatheredthe churchtogether,they [began] to reportall thingsthat Godhad donewith them and howHe had openeda doorof faithto the Gentiles.
For I will not presumeto speakof anythingexceptwhatChristhas accomplishedthroughme, resultingin the obedienceof the Gentilesby wordand deed,
