And Davidwas unwillingto movethe arkof the LORDinto the cityof Davidwith him; but Davidtookit asideto the houseof Obed-edomthe Gittite.
Thus the arkof the LORDremainedin the houseof Obed-edomthe Gittitethreemonths,and the LORDblessedObed-edomand allhis household.
Now it was toldKingDavid,saying,"The LORDhas blessedthe houseof Obed-edomand allthat belongs to him, on accountof the arkof God."Davidwentand broughtup the arkof Godfrom the houseof Obed-edominto the cityof Davidwith gladness.
Thus the arkof Godremainedwith the familyof Obed-edomin his housethreemonths;and the LORDblessedthe familyof Obed-edomwith allthat he had.
and with them their relativesof the secondrank,Zechariah,Ben,Jaaziel,Shemiramoth,Jehiel,Unni,Eliab,Benaiah,Maaseiah,Mattithiah,Eliphelehu,Mikneiah,Obed-edomand Jeiel,the gatekeepers.
and Mattithiah,Eliphelehu,Mikneiah,Obed-edom,Jeieland Azaziah,to leadwith lyrestuned to the sheminith.
Shebaniah,Joshaphat,Nethanel,Amasai,Zechariah,Benaiahand Eliezer,the priests,blewthe trumpetsbeforethe arkof God.Obed-edomand Jehiahalso [were] gatekeepersfor the ark.
and Obed-edomwith his 68relatives;Obed-edom,also the sonof Jeduthun,and Hosahas gatekeepers.
Asaphthe chief,and secondto him Zechariah,[then] Jeiel,Shemiramoth,Jehiel,Mattithiah,Eliab,Benaiah,Obed-edomand Jeiel,with musical instruments,harps,lyres;also Asaph[played] loud-soundingcymbals,
Elamthe fifth,Johananthe sixth,Eliehoenaithe seventh.
Ammielthe sixth,Issacharthe seventh[and] Peullethaithe eighth;Godhad indeedblessedhim.
