For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
and be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, even as God also in Christ forgave you.
forbearing one another, and forgiving each other, if any man have a complaint against any; even as the Lord forgave you, so also do ye:
And judge not, and ye shall not be judged: and condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: release, and ye shall be released:
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Then came Peter, and said to him, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? until seven times?Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times; but, Until seventy times seven.
If therefore thou art offering thy gift at the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee, leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way, first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
And whensoever ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have aught against any one; that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
But if any hath caused sorrow, he hath caused sorrow, not to me, but in part (that I press not too heavily) to you all.Sufficient to such a one is this punishment which was inflicted by the many;so that contrariwise ye should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his overmuch sorrow.Wherefore I beseech you to confirm your love toward him.
He that covereth a transgression seeketh love: But he that harpeth on a matter separateth chief friends.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive, And plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
So shall also my heavenly Father do unto you, if ye forgive not every one his brother from your hearts.
Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother sin, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.after the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed. In that day, he which shall be on the housetop, and his goods in the house, let him not go down to take them away: and let him that is in the field likewise not return back.Remember Lot's wife.Whosoever shall seek to gain his life shall lose it: but whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.I say unto you, In that night there shall be two men on one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. There shall be two women grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. And they answering say unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Where the body is, thither will the eagles also be gathered together. And if he sin against thee seven times in the day, and seven times turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
Confess therefore your sins one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man availeth much in its working.
in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
Avenge not yourselves, beloved, but give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance belongeth unto me; I will recompense, saith the Lord.
doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil;
And Jesus said, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And parting his garments among them, they cast lots.
not rendering evil for evil, or reviling for reviling; but contrariwise blessing; for hereunto were ye called, that ye should inherit a blessing.
whose soever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven unto them; whose soever sins ye retain, they are retained.
If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he be thirsty, give him water to drink:For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, And the LORD shall reward thee.
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? But there is forgiveness with thee, That thou mayest be feared.
Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again and have compassion upon us; he will tread our iniquities under foot: and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper: But whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall obtain mercy.
But God commendeth his own love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice:
All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets.
above all things being fervent in your love among yourselves; for love covereth a multitude of sins:
Love suffereth long, and is kind; love envieth not; love vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not its own, is not provoked, taketh not account of evil;rejoiceth not in unrighteousness, but rejoiceth with the truth;beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.
Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness; According to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.Create in me a clean heart, O God; And renew a right spirit within me.Cast me not away from thy presence; And take not thy holy spirit from me.Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation: And uphold me with a free spirit. Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; And sinners shall be converted unto thee.Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation; And my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.O Lord, open thou my lips; And my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. For thou delightest not in sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou hast no pleasure in burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: Build thou the walls of Jerusalem. Then shalt thou delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt offering and whole burnt offering: Then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.
The discretion of a man maketh him slow to anger; And it is his glory to pass over a transgression.
For judgement is without mercy to him that hath shewed no mercy: mercy glorieth against judgement.
who his own self bare our sins in his body upon the tree, that we, having died unto sins, might live unto righteousness; by whose stripes ye were healed.
But go ye and learn what this meaneth, I desire mercy, and not sacrifice: for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of his love;in whom we have our redemption, the forgiveness of our sins:
for by grace have ye been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:not of works, that no man should glory.
Brethren, even if a man be overtaken in any trespass, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of meekness; looking to thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
looking carefully lest there be any man that falleth short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby the many be defiled;
Judge not, that ye be not judged.or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?All things therefore whatsoever ye would that men should do unto you, even so do ye also unto them: for this is the law and the prophets.Enter ye in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many be they that enter in thereby. For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few be they that find it.Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves.By their fruits ye shall know them. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you.
But all things are of God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and gave unto us the ministry of reconciliation;to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honourable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
And the Lord's servant must not strive, but be gentle towards all, apt to teach, forbearing,in meekness correcting them that oppose themselves; if peradventure God may give them repentance unto the knowledge of the truth,
My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.But he that hateth his brother is in the darkness, and walketh in the darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because the darkness hath blinded his eyes.I write unto you, my little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake.I write unto you, fathers, because ye know him which is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the evil one. I have written unto you, little children, because ye know the Father.I have written unto you, fathers, because ye know him which is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the evil one.Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the vainglory of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye heard that antichrist cometh, even now have there arisen many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest how that they all are not of us.and he is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the whole world.
Wherefore I say unto thee, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much: but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.
The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, And saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.
shouldest not thou also have had mercy on thy fellow-servant, even as I had mercy on thee?
By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: And by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.
I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek thy servant; For I do not forget thy commandments.
A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; even as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
Nay, already it is altogether a defect in you, that ye have lawsuits one with another. Why not rather take wrong? why not rather be defrauded?
But to whom ye forgive anything, I forgive also: for what I also have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, for your sakes have I forgiven it in the person of Christ;that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
See that none render unto any one evil for evil; but alway follow after that which is good, one toward another, and toward all.
doing nothing through faction or through vainglory, but in lowliness of mind each counting other better than himself;because for the work of Christ he came nigh unto death, hazarding his life to supply that which was lacking in your service toward me.not looking each of you to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.
I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake; and I will not remember thy sins.
for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;proving what is well-pleasing unto the Lord;and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;for the things which are done by them in secret it is a shame even to speak of.But all things when they are reproved are made manifest by the light: for everything that is made manifest is light.Wherefore he saith, Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.Look therefore carefully how ye walk, not as unwise, but as wise;redeeming the time, because the days are evil.Wherefore be ye not foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.And be not drunken with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;speaking one to another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody with your heart to the Lord;and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odour of a sweet smell.
Then his lord called him unto him, and saith to him, Thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou besoughtest me:shouldest not thou also have had mercy on thy fellow-servant, even as I had mercy on thee?
For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
And forgive us our sins; for we ourselves also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And bring us not into temptation.
But if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him to drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
And according to the law, I may almost say, all things are cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
Therefore I say unto you, Every sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men; but the blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven.
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who healeth all thy diseases;Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; Who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies:
Ye know this, my beloved brethren. But let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Put on therefore, as God's elect, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering;
Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge ye this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock in his brother's way, or an occasion of falling.
but God, being rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,even when we were dead through our trespasses, quickened us together with Christ (by grace have ye been saved),
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is begotten of God, and knoweth God.He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
For we know him that said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense. And again, The Lord shall judge his people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, And let not thine heart be glad when he is overthrown:Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, And he turn away his wrath from him.
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.
But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
For the mountains shall depart, and the hills be removed; but my kindness shall not depart from thee, neither shall my covenant of peace be removed, saith the LORD that hath mercy on thee.
that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; to the end that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, I say, did he quicken together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses;having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;
For as the heaven is high above the earth, So great is his mercy toward them that fear him.As far as the east is from the west, So far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name:
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: A broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, And whose sins are covered.Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not reckon sin.
And he took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;for this is my blood of the covenant, which is shed for many unto remission of sins.
For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.Let us therefore draw near with boldness unto the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace to help us in time of need.
The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: But he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
Being therefore justified by faith, let us have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ;
And the lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, in whom ye were sealed unto the day of redemption.Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and railing, be put away from you, with all malice:
Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer each one.
For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but so to think as to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith.
But the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote his breast, saying, God, be merciful to me a sinner.
Now the God of patience and of comfort grant you to be of the same mind one with another according to Christ Jesus:
I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid: I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; And thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah
But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins (then saith he to the sick of the palsy), Arise, and take up thy bed, and go unto thy house.
For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the scriptures we might have hope.
Even so, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.
Wherefore Come ye out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, And touch no unclean thing; And I will receive you,
And if thy brother sin against thee, go, shew him his fault between thee and him alone: if he hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother.
I have been crucified with Christ; yet I live; and yet no longer I, but Christ liveth in me: and that life which I now live in the flesh I live in faith, the faith which is in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
Be of the same mind one toward another. Set not your mind on high things, but condescend to things that are lowly. Be not wise in your own conceits.
I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.
Even so let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
and through him to reconcile all things unto himself, having made peace through the blood of his cross; through him, I say, whether things upon the earth, or things in the heavens. And you, being in time past alienated and enemies in your mind in your evil works, yet now hath he reconciledin the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and without blemish and unreproveable before him:
For the wages of sin is death; but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
The thief cometh not, but that he may steal, and kill, and destroy: I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.
let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our body washed with pure water:
Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O LORD: Let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy begat us again unto a living hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, unto an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,
