From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.


And Peter said unto them, Repent ye, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ unto the remission of your sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.


Bring forth therefore fruit worthy of repentance:


testifying both to Jews and to Greeks repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;


But as touching the dead, that they are raised; have ye not read in the book of Moses, in the place concerning the Bush, how God spake unto him, saying, I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob?


Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?


And he answered and said, Have ye not read, that he which made them from the beginning made them male and female,


Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath day the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are guiltless?


And he said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou?


and to love him with all the heart, and with all the understanding, and with all the strength, and to love his neighbour as himself, is much more than all whole burnt offerings and sacrifices.


And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole have no need of a physician; but they that are sick.
