Yo’aḇ then blew with a shophar, and all the people halted and pursued Yisra’ĕl no further, nor did they fight any more.


And there came to be a man of Beliya‛al, whose name was Sheḇa son of Biḵri, a Binyamite. And he blew with the shophar, and said, “We have no part in Dawiḏ, nor do we have inheritance in the son of Yishai – each one to his tents, O Yisra’ĕl!”


And Dawiḏ was then in the stronghold, while a watch-post of the Philistines was then in Bĕyth Leḥem.


They have gone through the pass, they have taken up lodging at Geḇa. Ramah is afraid, Giḇ‛ah of Sha’ul has fled.


All the land shall be changed into a desert plain from Geḇa to Rimmon south of Yerushalayim, and she shall be raised up and inhabited in her place from Binyamin’s Gate to the place of the First Gate and the Corner Gate, and from the Tower of Ḥanan’ĕl to the winepresses of the sovereign.


and Kephar Ha‛ammoni, and Ophni, and Gaḇa – twelve cities with their villages.


And from the tribe of Binyamin, Giḇ‛on with its open land, Geḇa with its open land,


And it came to be, when he arrived, that he blew the shophar in the mountains of Ephrayim, and the children of Yisra’ĕl went down with him from the mountains, with him leading them.


Then the Spirit of יהוה came upon Giḏ‛on, and he blew the shophar, and the Aḇi‛ezerites gathered behind him.


“After that go to the hill of Elohim where the Philistine watch-post is. And it shall be, when you have come there to the city, that you shall meet a group of prophets coming down from the high place with a stringed instrument, and a tambourine, and a flute, and a lyre before them, and they are prophesying.


And Sha’ul, and Yonathan his son, and the people who were present with them remained in Giḇ‛ah of Binyamin, while the Philistines camped at Miḵmash.
