My knees are weak through fasting, And my flesh grows lean from fatness.


at that same time יהוה  spoke by means of Yeshayahu son of Amots, saying, “Go, and remove the sackcloth from your body, and take your sandals off your feet.” And he did so, walking naked and barefoot.


And in that day the Master יהוה  of hosts called for weeping and for mourning, for baldness and for girding with sackcloth.


‘And I shall make them a horror to all the reigns of the earth, for evil, to be a reproach and a byword, a mockery and a curse, in all the places to which I drive them.


Gird yourselves and lament, you priests. Wail, you attendants of the altar. Come, lie all night in sackcloth, you attendants of my Elohim. For the grain offering and the drink offering are withheld from the house of your Elohim.


Wail like a maiden girded with sackcloth for the husband of her youth.


“Thus you shall become an astonishment, a proverb, and a mockery among all the peoples to which יהוה  drives you.
