“As יהוה  your Elohim lives, there is no nation or reign where my master has not sent to look for you. And when they said, ‘He is not here,’ he made the reign or nation swear that they could not find you.


and took the commanders of hundreds, and the Karites, and the runners, and all the people of the land. And they brought the sovereign down from the House of יהוה, and went by way of the gate of the runners to the sovereign’s house. And he sat on the throne of the sovereigns.


And he remained with her in hiding in the House of יהוה  for six years, while Athalyah was reigning over the land.


So the commanders of the hundreds did according to all that Yehoyaḏ


and Sovereign Yeho’ash called Yehoyaḏ


And the sovereign stood by the column and made a covenant before יהוה, to follow יהוה  and to guard His commands and His witnesses and His laws, with all his heart and all his being, to establish the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant.

And they entered into a covenant to seek יהוה  Elohim of their fathers with all their heart and with all their being;


“Now it is in my heart to make a covenant with יהוה  Elohim of Yisra’ĕ


were joining with their brothers, their nobles, and were entering into a curse and into an oath to walk in the Torah of Elohim, which was given by Mosheh the servant of Elohim, and to guard and do all the commands of יהוה  our Master, and His right-rulings and His laws,


And they said, “Let us give it back, and ask no more from them, we do as you say.” Then I called the priests, and made them swear to do according to this word.


“And because of all this, we are making a trustworthy pledge, and write it. And our rulers, our Lĕ


And as the high priest and the captain of the Set-apart Place and the chief priests heard these words, they were puzzled and wondered what this might be.


Then the captain went with the officers and brought them, not with force, for they feared the people, lest they should be stoned.


And Yehoshua made a covenant with the people that day, and laid on them a law and a right-ruling in Sheḵ
