Only, the high places were not taken away, for as yet the people had not prepared their hearts for the Elohim of their fathers.


who has prepared his heart to seek Elohim, יהוה  Elohim of his fathers, though he is not cleansed according to the cleansing of the set-apart place.”


To man belongs the preparations of the heart, But from יהוה  is the answer of the tongue.


Let the wrong forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. Let him return to יהוה, who has compassion on him, and to our Elohim, for He pardons much.


‘And I shall give them a heart to know Me, that I am יהוה. And they shall be My people and I shall be their Elohim, for they shall turn back to Me with all their heart.


“It could be that the house of Yehuḏ


“If you do return, O Yisra’ĕ


“Therefore say to the house of Yisra’ĕ


“Cast away from you all the transgressions, by which you have transgressed, and make for yourselves a new heart and a new spirit. For why should you die, O house of Yisra’ĕ


‘This people draw near to Me with their mouth, and respect Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me.


Then יהושע  said to him, “Go, Satan! For it has been written, ‘You shall worship יהוה  your Elohim, and Him alone you shall serve.’ ”


“No one is able to serve two masters, for either he shall hate the one and love the other, or else he shall cleave to the one and despise the other. You are not able to serve Elohim and mammon.


And יהושע  answering him, said, “Get behind Me, Satan! For it has been written, ‘You shall worship יהוה  your Elohim, and Him only you shall serve.’ ”


“Elohim is Spirit, and those who worship Him need to worship in spirit and truth.”


“Fear יהוה  your Elohim. Serve Him, and cling to Him, and swear by His Name.


“Walk after יהוה  your Elohim and fear Him, and guard His commands and obey His voice, and serve Him and cling to Him.


“But from there you shall seek יהוה  your Elohim, and shall find, when you search for Him with all your heart and with all your being.


“Fear יהוה  your Elohim and serve Him, and swear by His Name.


“And now, fear יהוה, serve Him in perfection and in truth, and put away the mighty ones which your fathers served beyond the River and in Mitsrayim, and serve יהוה!


“And now, put away the mighty ones of the stranger which are in your midst, and incline your heart to יהוה  Elohim of Yisra’ĕ


So they put away the foreign mighty ones from their midst and served יהוה. And His being was grieved with the trouble of Yisra’ĕ


And the children of Yisra’ĕ


Then the children of Yisra’ĕ


So they forsook יהוה  and served Baʽ


And they placed his armour in the house of the Ashtaroth, and they fastened his body to the wall of Bĕ
