Thus saith the king, Let not Hezekiah deceive you; for he shall not be able to deliver you out of his hand:
In the pride of the wicked the poor is hotly pursued; Let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined.
They are enclosed in their own fat: With their mouth they speak proudly.
And ye have magnified yourselves against me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard it.
They return, but not to him that is on high; they are like a deceitful bow: their princes shall fall by the sword for the rage of their tongue: this shall be their derision in the land of Egypt.
but chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise dominion. Daring, selfwilled, they tremble not to rail at dignities:
For, uttering great swelling words of vanity, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by lasciviousness, those who are just escaping from them that live in error;
These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their lusts (and their mouth speaketh great swelling words), shewing respect of persons for the sake of advantage.
