For narrow is the gate, and straitened the way, that leadeth unto life, and few be they that find it.


Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.


But if it is by grace, it is no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace.


So then he hath mercy on whom he will, and whom he will he hardeneth.


Or hath not the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?


The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.


Thy fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD thy God hath made thee as the stars of heaven for multitude.


For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.


And because he loved thy fathers, therefore he chose their seed after them, and brought thee out with his presence, with his great power, out of Egypt;


Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called children of God: and such we are. For this cause the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.


Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
