And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.

The little one shall become a thousand, and the small one a strong nation: I the LORD will hasten it in its time.


For thou art our father, though Abraham knoweth us not, and Israel doth not acknowledge us: thou, O LORD, art our father; our redeemer from everlasting is thy name.


Son of man, they that inhabit those waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.


The LORD your God hath multiplied you, and, behold, ye are this day as the stars of heaven for multitude.


And thou shalt answer and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my father, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there, few in number; and he became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous:


And I took your father Abraham from beyond the River, and led him throughout all the land of Canaan, and multiplied his seed, and gave him Isaac.
