LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; Neither do I exercise myself in great matters, Or in things too wonderful for me.
For though the LORD be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: But the haughty he knoweth from afar.
I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, And the right of the needy.
And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, the God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.
Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: yea, in the thing wherein they dealt proudly against them.
And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low: and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.
