And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Jerusalem also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.
When our oxen are well laden; When there is no breaking in, and no going forth, And no outcry in our streets;
O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; Thy holy temple have they defiled; They have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
