Give no occasion of stumbling, either to Jews, or to Greeks, or to the church of God:


For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within,


giving no occasion of stumbling in anything, that our ministration be not blamed;


for we take thought for things honourable, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.


Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.


that ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and may have need of nothing.


not a novice, lest being puffed up he fall into the condemnation of the devil.


I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, give none occasion to the adversary for reviling:


But they that desire to be rich fall into a temptation and a snare and many foolish and hurtful lusts, such as drown men in destruction and perdition.


and they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, having been taken captive by the Lord's servant unto the will of God.

sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us.
