He that slandereth not with his tongue, Nor doeth evil to his friend, Nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.
Thou sittest and speakest against thy brother; Thou slanderest thine own mother's son.
He that hideth hatred is of lying lips; And he that uttereth a slander is a fool.
As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, So is a faithful messenger to them that send him; For he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Take ye heed every one of his neighbour, and trust ye not in any brother: for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbour will go about with slanders.
