When they heard this, they were amazed, and they left him and went away.


Jesus said to them, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s and to God the things that are God’s.” And they were utterly amazed at him.


On the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astounded. They said, “Where did this man get all this? What is this wisdom that has been given to him? What deeds of power are being done by his hands!


And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.


All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth. They said, “Is this not Joseph’s son?”


The police answered, “Never has anyone spoken like this!”
